Wishing you a warm welcome from South Africa! My name is Jeanne, and I respect you so much for taking the steps to get here.

For much of my life, I viewed my body as a project, something that needed work on and continuous improvement. It took up a lot of time and energy! If my weight was down, the project was going well, and I felt good; if my weight was up, then I had to work even harder on it, relying on inspiration, will power and control. When these failed (which was often), I felt exhausted, miserable, and the project never ending. I was focused on achieving an unsustainable body ideal that was born from early exposure to ballet, gymnastics and modeling. I thought achieving it would give me self-worth and self-acceptance.

Inspired by Glennon Doyle’s writings I’ve come to realize that my life is my project, not my body! Today, I work on nourishing all areas of my life and have learned to consciously quieten my demanding inner self-critic with awareness and self-compassion.

I am married and the mother of two children, a boy and a girl, and a rescue dog from the African bush.  I enjoy ballroom and Latin American dancing, Iyengar yoga, reading, plant-based cooking and spending time in nature.  I am also working on a book focused on helping busy people organize their kitchen and successfully tackle weekly meal prep!

I’m proud to be continually rewriting my story, reflecting on my wins, and amazing myself daily with what is truly possible! As your coach, I look forward to meeting you where you are at, with compassion, understanding and empathy, and guiding you forwards to be the most empowered version of yourself. I am here for you!
