Hi there! I’m so very glad you found OutshiningED! My name is Abby and I live in Minneapolis, MN, with my husband, three kiddos and boxer puppy, Nacho. In addition to recovery coaching, I teach yin and vinyasa yoga along with meditation and breathwork classes, and I spend an inordinate amount of time daydreaming about becoming a drummer for a Guns N Roses cover band. I am a voracious reader and I love adventure sports, creating art and traveling.

I also know what it’s like to deeply suffer with a wide range of eating disorders and incredibly self-destructive behaviors. I spent three decades in the trenches and understand the feeling of being all alone in the struggle. I know what it’s like to spend every morning vowing, ‘Today is the day I’ll change,’ only to have the eating disorder take over once again, day after day after day.

I’m here to tell you that I found recovery with the help of OutshiningED. The 24/7 support and coaching helped me understand the critical elements necessary for my recovery. I needed the steady encouragement, accountability, empathetic guidance and actionable advice of my coach to help me finally make a lasting change. I needed a mentor who had struggled with ED for many years and found full recovery to help me believe that food freedom was attainable.  I am now very proud to stand in the role of coach and help others find their way out of the darkness of their ED.

If you come to me for coaching, I promise to show up with my most authentic and vulnerable self. I will gladly share the details of my story and provide a safe place for you to do the same. As Glennon Doyle says, ‘The things we hide from each other are the things we’re meant to help each other carry.’ I know you are fighting an epic battle, and I will be in the arena with you.

You are made for so much more than this ED journey, and I would be honored to help you get to the other side.
