If you’re here, it probably means you’re taking a step towards freedom. I’m so proud of you. Welcome.
A little about me: I’m a hiker, a writer, a thinker, and a suburban craft mom just waiting to happen. My size has gone up and down, but I’ve spent most of my life in a larger body. Since my body was never deemed good enough, I felt like I was never good enough. So I started dieting. And failed. Then I’d start over… And of course, fail again.
Fast forward 15 years, and the only thing diets ever gave me was a full-blown eating disorder and a deep sense of failure. I couldn’t understand how eating was so easy for some people. I thought I was broken.
Like you, I knew my outcome: I wanted to eat effortlessly, believe my body is good no matter what it looks like, and be free from my mental prison. But I had no idea how to get there.
I worked with Lindsay and her OutshiningED program because it offered what I was unable to find in other coaches and therapists: simplicity, a bias towards action, 24/7 accountability, and a custom, tailored-for-me approach. I made immense progress during our time together, and by the end I gained the confidence and clarity I needed to finish the rest of recovery on my own.
Now, as a coach, I am privileged to guide others toward freedom. What I believe sets me apart as a coach is not only do I have lived experience with an ED in both a large and small body, but I have also taken a deep dive into what it means to truly heal your body image by getting one-one-one mentoring and training from Brianna Campos (Body Image with Bri).
If you have struggled for a while, I believe you are struggling not because you have failed recovery, but because recovery has failed you. Diet culture has failed you. The standard, one-size-fits-all approach to eating disorder recovery has failed you. Despite it all, I believe you are more than capable of recovery. From the one who thought there was no way out: there is. And if you’ll let me, I’ll walk with you until the very end.
